The dark tide.
There are dreams with crystal clear waters and then there are dreams with large menacing waves approaching my home, dark foamy waves which eclipse the night sky in its foreground. They tower over the landscape, above trees, mountains, and many times above the moon itself.
Most of the times I dont know its a dream, lately I know its a dream but I continue to drive to the shore, watch the ocean take a deep breath and pout its chest as if to tell me, “Your here again huh. ok.”.
I’ve started to enjoy the few seconds before the wave crashes into me. The sense of panic, as if your hanging over a cliff struggling to find some footing, grasping onto anything, fighting the inevitable. Then you find peace.
Realities of life; when they hit home, you realize why you are the way you are.
